ECMVC joined Sonara for their fourth annual Rainbows Celebration in the magical setting of St Wystan’s Church in Repton, on Friday 14 December. The choirs were joined by children from Repton Primary School who delighted the audience with their singing. The celebration event also included individual items of readings and stories – and the interval mulled wine and mince pies slipped down a treat!
This was the fourth year that ECMVC had joined Sonara for this event but the presentation of the concert was taken to a new level with the addition of Gemma playing the organ for the community carols, lighted candles along the length of the nave and imported uplighting for the altar area. Hopefully, the photographs on the website will show you how atmospheric the church interior was.
The choir return to Derby’s Intu Centre on the evening of Thursday 20 December, entertaining the late-night shoppers from around 6pm. This year, ECMVC and Sonara Singers are collecting funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind – and we’re expecting a few canine friends to be helping us!
Then, on Saturday 22 December, ECMVC are again joining Sonara for our final performance of an amazing year. The choirs will once again be joined by the Rolls-Royce Band, who last year provided spectacular seasonal entertainment. Expect many laughs throughout the night, as well as a very special visitor! Tickets are still available – call the number on the image below…
