DESCRIPTION:Presented by Sonara Singers and Eastwood Collieries’ Male Voice Choir\, this FREE event provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the fun and sense of achievement singing in a choir can provide. \nYou can join members of both choirs and see what it’s like to learn a couple of very simple songs and then sit back and feel a fantastic sense of achievement\, with lots of laughs along the way! \nIt’s not a heavy afternoon of slog but a joyful\, easy day of being with two great and successful choirs\, with an unrivalled chance to talk to members and see some of our archive materials. \nBring friends and participate in a fabulous day of singing – absolutely no experience necessary! SUMMARY:60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster - a concert of remembrance
DESCRIPTION:We are honoured to be invited by our friends\, Bestwood MVC\, to join them for a concert commemorating the 60th anniversary of the tragic Aberfan disaster. \nBestwood and Eastwood are further joined by Pye Hill & District MVC and Hucknall and Linby Mining Community Brass Band. \nAll four performing groups have their roots firmly in the mining industry and have an affinity with the Aberfan community\, with strong recollections of the disaster in many peoples’ memories. \nTickets are now on sale via TryBooking\, priced £12.50 for adults and £6 for under-16s.

DESCRIPTION:Christmas 2026 will be ECMVC’s fourth consecutive visit to Morley Hayes Hotel and Golf Club for their ever-popular ‘Singing Around the Christmas Tree’ event. The evening starts with song (outside\, weather permitting) and then moves to a sit-down supper inside. Tickets are booked through Morley Hayes. \nThis annual occasion is organised by Morley Hayes as one of their packed schedule of events leading up to Christmas Day – the full schedule will be published soon and if you’re interested\, keep checking their website as the event sells out VERY quickly! \n(Please note\, the event price is inclusive of ECMVC and supper.)
