A very Happy Christmas from ECMVC

We’ve had an exceptionally busy 2019 and we’re expecting an even busier 2020!

After launching our centenary celebrations with a concert in Nottingham’s Albert Hall, recording and releasing our new album, singing in the Painted Hall in Chatsworth House and ending the year with the usual Christmas festivities, we’re now well into finalising our performances for the coming year.

We particularly wish our principal music team a very Happy Christmas and a great new year. MD Liz is recovering well from back surgery and accompanist, Gemma, is expecting their third child just a few days into the new year. There’s never a dull moment in ECMVC!

Meanwhile, as a sort of Christmas present, we’ve put together video with a few photos from the centenary concert backed with a couple of snippets from the album and a very short extract from Gwahoddiad recorded at the centenary concert. Many audience members said how much they enjoyed the introductory spoken introduction to the event, so, as a special treat, part of that is in the video, too!

You can also find the video on YouTube. Search for Eastwood Collieries’ Male Voice Choir and you’ll find this video plus lots of other films and music tracks to play at your leisure.

So – a very Happy Christmas from us all at ECMVC and we hope to see you at at least one of our concerts in 2020. More news on those soon…
