Two appearances by ECMVC over the two weeks before Christmas will hopefully raise funds for two charities.
On Friday 15 December, the Rainbows Repton Carol Concert features ECMVC, with Sonara Singers, the Repton Primary School Choir and guest soloist, Thomas Spencer. This will be the fourth consecutive Christmas Concert at St Wystan’s Church in Repton and the event is always joyful and extremely well-attended.
All the details, including how you can buy tickets online, can be found on the choir’s website event page.
On Thursday 21 December, both ECMVC and Sonara Singers will be entertaining the late-night shoppers at the Derby Intu Centre from around 6pm. This is always an evening of great fun and it’s a chance for the choirs to let their hair down and sing their hearts out whilst encouraging shoppers to fill the collecting buckets. This year, the evening will be raising funds for Crisis at Christmas – together we can help someone take the first step out of homelessness.
On Tuesday 19 December, ECMVC will be taking their normal evening practice night a short way from the choir’s base to sing for the residents of Eastwood House Care Home.
These events follow a successful couple of fund-raising concerts during October, when around £2,500 was raised for two charities – the Amber Valley Rotary Campaign to end polio and the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association.
All in all a fantastic end to a wonderful year!
