ECMVC will soon be embarking on their first weekend away for a few years, when making the trip into Essex during the weekend of 5-7 May. A cavalcade of coach, cars and caravans will be arriving at the choir’s hotel just outside Colchester on the Saturday, in readiness for the first of two concerts over the weekend.
The trip is a return visit for ECMVC, following Braintree Male Voice Choir’s visit to the East Midlands in 2016. MD Liz has already taken her other choir, Sonara Singers, on a similar visit in 2017 and is looking forward to her male voice equivalents repeating the adventure.
The two concerts will be performed in Coggeshall and Sudbury on the Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Braintree MVC’s concert with ECMVC was captured in photos, and these can be seen on the choir’s Photo Gallery on the website.
The weekend visit in 2016 was a great deal of fun and ECMVC feel sure the first weekend in May will be similarly unforgettable!
The weekend will be the first public performances for ECMVC in 2018 which will be the first concerts of an extremely busy year ahead. Just two concerts remain to be fully confirmed for the year and once they have, the full schedule will be announced on the choir’s website and Facebook pages. In a carefully managed selection of venues and dates, the choir will be using this year to learn new pieces, bringing them up to performance standard in readiness for the centenary year, starting in September 2019.
